ACTIVITIES IN BOOKLET INCLUDE MANY ITEMS TO COMPLETE REQUIREMENTS.
COMPLETE 1 REQUIREMENT TO EARN THIS PATCH
- Learn more about leap year and why it happens.
- Find at least 3 animals that leap. (informational card in kit about a kangaroo)
- Leap in the present. If you could leap to another place today, where would you go? Draw an item that represents this place.
- Leap in the future. What does your future look like in the next leap year. Name one thing that will change in the future? Examples: How old will you be? What grade will you be in? etc.
- Leap to the past. If you could leap to another time period, where would you go? It can be before you were born. What is different from this time period from today? (clothing, toys, cars, etc.) Draw a picture of a favorite or unique item of this time period.
- Complete a puzzle, maze, color by number, or hidden figure activity sheet that is about an animal or thing that leaps. (activities in the booklet)
- Leap into funny stories, movies, or books. For extra, complete a mad lib and read it back.
- Participate in a game that involves leaping. Examples: leap your game piece across a game board, leap a stuffed animal around a circle playing hot potato, and much more.
- Create a craft or activity about an animal that leaps. Examples: frog, goat, spider, dolphin and more. (craft included in kit)
