Birds (1.5 inch patch)

Earn this mini patch by learning about birds, creating a bird feeder or house, etc.
USE THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS AS A GUIDE> COMPLETE 1

1. Observe and identify at least a bird outdoors.
2.  Learn what your state bird is.  What color is it and where does it live?
3.  Complete a puzzle, worksheet, or learn more about migration of birds.
4.  Use the internet, a worksheet, or a book to look up 8 different birds. Find out how each one is different or the same. Which one is your favorite?
5.  Learn how to properly use and care for binoculars. Use them to observe birds.
6.   Build a bird feeder or bird house and put it in your yard or another location with permission. You can also give it away as a gift.
7.  Visit a park, zoo, or outdoor location so you can observe different kinds of birds.
8.  Create a craft or play a game that is about birds.
9.  Research birds and find your favorite one. Sketch out the bird and color it.
   
10.  Find out more about a bird that sings or talks.  What type of bird is it?
