Birds (1.5 inch patch)

Earn this mini patch by learning about birds, creating a bird feeder or house, etc.
USE THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS AS A GUIDE> COMPLETE 1

1. Observe and identify at least a bird outdoors.
2. Use the internet or a book to look up 8 different birds. Find out how each one is different or the same. Which one is your favorite?
3. Learn how to properly use and care for binoculars. Use them to observe birds.
4. Build a bird feeder and put it in your yard or another location with permission.
5. Build a bird house. You can also paint or decorate the outside. Hang it in your yard or another location with permission.
6. Visit a park, zoo, or outdoor location so you can observe different kinds of birds.
7. Volunteer to assist at a place that has birds or make feeders to donate to the facility or park.
8. Research birds and find your favorite one. Sketch out the bird and color it.
