<b> A true princess scout will befriend all her fellow sisters. She will lend a helping hand to her neighbors, family and friends.</b>
1. KINDNESS AND HONESTY - To be compassionate to others and their feelings. Make something and give it away or complete a community service project. Examples: Create a coupon book, donate books or clothing, make valentines for veterans, stockings for children, spring baskets for women’s shelter or volunteer.
2. TALENTS AND HOBBIES (showing self awareness)– Make a list of your talents or hobbies. Choose one to complete OR use your talents to complete something and share it with others OR give it the item away as a gift. Some common talents or hobbies are: Music, art, singing, poetry, dancing, sewing, crafting, and more.
3. IMAGINATION- By using your imagination you will continue to learn and grow using your creativity. Draw a picture, decorate cards for soldiers, make up a game, make up a dance to a song, add new endings to games, story, or skit. The options are open, just use your imagination.
4. CARING- Show a feelings of affection towards others. Help someone in need. Be buddy to someone or be helpful to someone. You choose the project or good deed.
5. FRIENDSHIP- Complete an activity with a friend OR make a new friend. What activity did you choose to complete with a friend? Make new friends but keep the old.
6. GOALS-Set a goal of your choice. Examples: Complete a book, create an art project, go hiking, be more organized, better grades in school, or more.
7. BE HELPFUL- Complete a project that helps others by assisting your parents at home, reach out to your community or organization. Complete a project on your own or with your group. Use teamwork to complete the activities together with your group or family. Examples: Donate your used coat to the needy, make shoeboxes for children around the holidays, assist veterans, help younger children learn a new skill, make muffins for a shelter, pinwheels for peace, OR eyeglasses for the needy.
8. LEADERSHIP– Complete one leadership skill. Simple basic decision making leadership skills include: Making choices between activities, OR should I purchase this item and what are the pros and cons, OR deciding on a goal for yourself to accomplish, OR communicate decisions when it is a group or family discussion, OR taking responsibility for chores builds leadership skills, OR having a game night helps children play by rules and make decisions, OR have older children can assist with younger children.
9. RESPECT- Gain self-esteem for yourself and learn to respect your elders or authority figures; having a courteous regards for people's feelings. Complete a good deed for a someone in need.
10. RESOURCEFUL-Learn how to reuse or recycle an item into something new OR take part in a recycling program or activity. Some ideas include: Recycle your crayons or markers; use colorful cereal or cookie boxes to create a journal cover or another useful item; use scraps of materials to create blankets or art items; tye-dye or reverse tye-dye a stained piece of clothing into a new shirt; use old jeans or shirts to make purses or pillows. The ideas are endless.
