Spanish Heritage Patch [1 1/2 inch patch]

USE THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS AS A GUIDE> COMPLETE 1

1. Learn about a country that speaks Spanish. Locate it on a map. What does the flag look like? 
2. Learn more about the Spanish language. Say “Hello” in Spanish and other words.
3. Festivals or “fiestas” are very important in the Spanish/Mexican Culture. Learn more about a festival and why they celebrate it.
4. Create a craft that represents the culture. For example: Piñata, god’s eye, or beaded jewelry, weaving, paper fan, paper flowers, bookmark, place mat, OR paper box Use your imagination.
5. Complete one service project helping others in Latino communities. Examples: Donating school supplies, book drive, clothing and toy drive, helping at schools, and working with children with their language skills etc.  
6. Learn about traditional garments that are worn in Spanish speaking countries. Research clothing or try on garments.  
7. Listen to song OR watch a dance OR dance to a Spanish song.  
8. There are many traditional games played in Spanish speaking countries. Find out how to play one of these games.
